She is a lady: Faithful, Beautiful and Gracious. She is wise,
intelligent, and effective. I guess that explains why Bishop Green
married her, Vivian Frazier, in 1946. For these reasons and more, she
is loved across this nation. Further, for these reasons, God placed a
special calling on her life-that of ministering to women.
Her concern for women and their plight in life warranted her
the co-pilot seat with Bishop Green in his great ministry. Married
for over 50 years, a mother of 9 children (four boys: five girls),
walk of holiness for over 40 years, along with that she is anointed
woman of God, also prove she is qualified to get the job done.
Although she is gifted and talented, she respects and honors
her husband in the various capacities God uses him. Everything Dr.
Green does and says only compliments Bishop Green in his ministry.
She operates closely with him in prayer and in ministry.
Imagine. She is the wife of the Pastor, Bishop and General
Board Member, bust she is also his member. That must be difficult at
times, but because she demonstrates the virtue of submission, and
holiness, her role is made easy. Presently, she is the President of
the Ministers, Deacons, and Trustee Wives of the Peninsula District,
State Marshall for the State Women's Department; and a member of the
the National Bishop Wives Circles, Church of God in Christ, Inc.
Sis. Green showed women across America the "virtue"
of her faith in God. In April, 1986, she was diagnosed with cancer of
the breast. Many women would have forgotten God for the moment and
wallowed in self pity. But not our First Lady, she exemplified her
impeccable faith in God. She testified of thanking God for revealing
to the doctors her condition, and also of rectifying the situation,
by whatever means he deemed necessary. While praising God for his
Goodness, the Lord spoke to her and let her no that "I can heal
you without surgery." That is just what He did. She has the
x-rays to prove, that God did what He promised. She is encouraging
women everywhere to use their God-given "virtuous faith,"
to overcome impossible circumstances.
